Hygiene Program

 While the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) provides much needed support to families in need, hygiene products cannot be purchased with these benefits. Christ Child Society of Toledo saw these items as essential for children to have a successful school day. Starting in 2023, we began offering hygiene kits, first to the students in our Partners in Learning Schools and then with our Clothe-A-Child bags. Additional hygiene items are stored at the schools and available for students when requested. Kits include soap, deodorant, body lotion, a loofah sponge, lip balm, toothpaste, toothbrush, and dental floss. This past year, 2,363 kits were distributed.
